People are getting medicines at cheap rates in Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra

Mungeli – As per the vision of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra established in the district to provide cheap and good medicines to the villages, poor and common people is proving to be a boon for the people. Let us tell you that to provide medicines to the people at cheap rates in the district, Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra has been established in District Hospital Mungeli, Community Health Center Lormi and Daupara Mungeli, where generic medicines are being made available to the people at cheaper rates than other medicine shops. The common people are looking very happy with this facility.
People keep coming and going to the Jan Aushadhi Kendra established in the district hospital premises throughout the day. Jaiman Joshi, a resident of village Chilfi of Lormi development block, said that the medicines here are much cheaper than the market. The medicine which is available in the market for Rs 100, is available here for Rs 20 to 30. Anil Tamboli, a resident of Sardar Patel Ward Mungeli, said that people are getting a lot of benefit from the medicines of Jan Aushadhi Kendra. Money is being saved here. Along with this, good quality medicines are also available, due to which there is no need to go to outside medical shops. He told that ever since the Jan Aushadhi Kendra has opened here, he is buying medicines from here. Civil Surgeon Dr. M.K. Rai told that more than 15 thousand people have taken advantage of cheap medicines from Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra in District Hospital Mungeli. Medicines of Jan Aushadhi Kendra are 50 to 70 percent cheaper than normal medicines. He told that the government has an important scheme to provide medicines at low prices to the poor and needy people through Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra. All the patients coming to the district hospital premises are provided medicines free of cost and those medicines which are not in supply are preferred to be taken at Jan Aushadhi Kendra.
